About the event
Meeting at the back of the park by the forest in the Lion's Pavilion, red roof.Â
Rediscover your curiosity for nature with these immersive experiences in the natural areas of our local parks. Learn to identify, harvest, and incorporate wild local and native plants into daily cuisine and lifestyle. Every 2nd Wednesday of the month from April to October we will meet between Waterworks & Pinafore Park for a walkabout with a local herbalist and certified Forest Therapy Guide, imagine the possibilities.Â
Join us through three seasons as we explore the possibilities available to us, for free, from nature. From culinary uses, teas, herbal first aid, herbalism, and the spirit essence of plants, the walks take shape with ongoing engagement from participants. Have a question? Ask it. Just want to observe, you're welcome to. Come as you are, in your comfort.Â
Run or shine! In the event of heavy rains, thunder/lightning, or winds above 30kmh, walks will be postponed to the following Wednesday for safety.Â
By donation. Donation recommendation $20 per participant. Registration is encouraged. See Buy Ticket to be redirected to the website.Â
