About the event
Guided Wellness Walk - A Community Guided Forest Therapy Session. All dates for 2024 are listed and available for registration.
These events are designed as an introductory experience to forest therapy on local trails with the intention that participants will experience and learn to practice on their own. There is a sliding scale for the exchange to ensure that it is accessible for everyone.
The effects of a forest therapy session last up to 30 days, so we have booked one for almost every month throughout the year! Forest Therapy Sessions guide you in a meditative walk through the forest, inviting you to engage with nature through your natural senses for a deeper connection, and activation of your parasympathetic nervous system for deep relaxation. When we activate our parasympathetic nervous system we enter rest & digest, the state in which our body can heal.
The final invitation is to take in the forest through a guided tea meditation of herbal tea with an herbalist. We enter the mind again to discuss the wonderful uses of a local magical plant and local farm-grown snacks.
Walks take place closest to the new moon to fully experience the cyclical cycles of rest imbedded within nature, and ourselves.
