My name is Ashley Park

 

I am passionate about helping people prevent and manage burnout.  As someone who has been a mom, worked front line, and has just been overwhelmed with the fast-paced life we are expected to keep up with, I did burn out, more than once on my journey to today, and each time was devastating. 

 

"You will get it!   I want to work with you"

 

What I was being told by professionals in our healthcare system was not working. Sometimes it even made it worse. I realized that it did not matter how much cognitive behaviour therapy I did, my body was still experiencing symptoms of trauma. Maybe you find that you've hit a plateau with your therapist, or that you can rationalize situations in your mind, yet your body is still reacting.     

 

"I wondered why nothing seemed to working, let's try something new!"

 

The modern fast-paced society was so overwhelming for me, my brain had disconnected from my natural bodily senses. I found that I had become so desensitized living in a de-natured world where I was taught to teach my mind that it was safe in uncomfortable that I no longer recognized my own bodily senses until they were extreme and uncontrollable.

If you work in front-line work, you are likely experiencing the same thing. You have been trained to talk yourself into feeling safe in unsafe situations and advocate for people that cause your harm. Your mind is rationalizing the situation that your body is still sending alarms off for. 

 

"Yes, please support me through this"

Parents of challenging children also experience this. I know I did with my neurodivergent child.  It felt like no one wanted to help me and I felt like a complete failure as a mom. I was breaking down. At the time I put my knowledge into supporting him through nature-based therapy and began to see his progress. I wish I had someone to guide me. 

 

"I need help."

I was frustrated with medical doctors telling me  that the pain in my body was my sick mind and insisted medications- you're depressed, you're having panic attacks, it's anxiety..... it was NOT.  â€‹My nervous system needed love. My physical injuries could not heal without reducing the pain in my soul. I felt so alone, judged, criticized, helpless, and hopeless.  No one was hearing me, no one was seeing me.

Until I discovered that nature is always there. Nature is FREE. Nature is always open to receive with non-judgement. Nature provides nourishment, love, and reciprocity. Nature supports and provides hope. Nature always sees me, she is always listening, and ALL around me always. I am part of nature. When I began to deeply connect to the natural world, I began to connect with myself. I was able to incorporate my own nature therapy practice into my treatment plan, and that's when I saw significant results.  

 

"I want results now!"

 

I want to support my community in a way that prevents you from having to go through the same thing. I am here to support YOU in a way that you can experience and learn to access free therapeutic connection, anytime, anywhereTo guide you in this practice to incorporate it into your daily life. The way you go to yoga, hire a personal trainer, or see a therapist, once you get the hang of the technique and mindset, you can do it on your own. You may need to return for a refresher now and then, but it is always with you.
